The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for our region from 4 PM on Sunday, February 22 to 7 AM on Tuesday, February 24. This is a significant storm that is expected to bring up to 2 feet of heavy wet snow, 70 mph wind gusts, and the potential for minor coastal flooding.
Snow will begin late Sunday night. The heaviest snow is expected from pre-dawn Monday through Monday afternoon. Snowfall rates could reach up to 1-3 inches per hour during this timeframe. Snowfall will taper off from west to east during the late afternoon and evening on Monday.
A Winter Parking Ban will begin at 8 PM on Sunday until further notice. On street parking is prohibited during the ban to allow DPW to safely clear roads. The parking ban will be strictly enforced. Vehicles left on the street will be ticketed and towed. Parking is available behind Town Hall (at your own risk), Brook Street lot, Norwood Avenue lot, and the Masconomo Park lot (at your own risk).
Town Hall will be closed on Monday, February 23 to keep staff safe and roads clear for public safety and DPW. All trash, recycling, and compost collection will be delayed by one day.

- Report down power lines to 911.
- Keep heating vents clear of snow.
- Charge all necessary devices.
- Don’t run generators indoors.
- Town Hall and the Police Station are available 24/7 for warming and charging.
- Be aware of carbon monoxide alarms and call 911 if alarm goes off.
