The Manchester-by-the-Sea Police, Fire, and Harbor Departments responded to a boat crash off of Singing Beach on Saturday, October 3, 2026. At approximately 4:30 PM, the Coast Guard received reports of a vessel in distress. Three passengers and one dog entered the water. Two passengers and the dog were located and transported to area hospitals. However, one passenger has since been declared deceased. A third passenger is still missing.
Essex Police/ Harbor, Coast Guard Station Gloucester, Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod, Danvers Harbormaster, Salem Harbormaster, Beverly Harbormaster, Beverly Drone unit, NEMLEC Drone Unit, Manchester-by-the-Sea Harbormaster, Gloucester Harbormaster, Massachusetts State Police, Gloucester Police Department, Beverly Fire Department and its dive team, and Massachusetts Environmental Police have responded.
