The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our area starting Sunday, January 18 in the afternoon. Approximately 4″ to 8″ inches of snowfall is expected followed by freezing temperatures into next week.
The Town of Manchester-by-the-Sea has issued a Winter Parking Ban starting at 6 PM on January 18 until further notice. The blue lights will be activated at Noon on January 18 and enforcement will start at 6 PM. Street parking is prohibited during the parking ban to allow DPW to safely clear roads.
What are the Blue Lights? In Manchester-by-the-Sea we have blue emergency lights that are placed at select intersections throughout Town. The lights are turned on during weather emergencies (ie. snow storms). When the blue lights are on, street parking is prohibited.
